If I ever saw myself saying I’m excited going to Cleveland, I’d punch myself in the face…
Ichiro, baseball legend, bluntly expressed his lack of enthusiasm for playing in Cleveland in a 2007: “I’m not thrilled to visit Cleveland, but it’s mandatory. If I ever claimed excitement for it, I’d be deceiving myself.”

Welcome to Heart of Baseball. As the lead editor, I have a deep passion for baseball and its statistics. My love for the game began with the 1992 Olympics and has encompassed iconic moments such as Joe Carter’s ’93 home run, the dominance of Atlanta in the ’90s, Nomo’s tornado pitching style, McGuire and Sammy’s home run chase, intense Yankees-Boston rivalries, and the Red Sox’s first championship win after 86 years. From Ichiro’s outstanding career and underdog champions like the Marlins, Royals, and Angels to the 2023 WBC’s Shohei vs. Trout showdown, I’ve cherished every memory.
I’ve been to ball games in the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan throughout the years just to personally experience the ballparks and their fans. It’s not just a sport to me, but a lifestyle filled with numbers and rich history. With 30 years of watching baseball, I hope you share our love for baseball.
